Summer Clubs at HLC!
HLC Summer Clubs are offered to students, ages 15 - 22, in our community who are on the autism spectrum and meet our Criteria for Admission. The goal is for every student to experience COMMUNITY, build SKILLS, and develop CONNECTIONS at a club. Space is limited, and students must be independent to attend. We do NOT offer 1:1 support. Registered students will receive an HLC T-shirt on their first day.

Join our exciting D&D club where creativity, strategy, and teamwork come to life! Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or brand new to the game, you'll embark on thrilling quests, build unforgettable characters, and collaborate with fellow players to navigate epic stories. Our sessions focus on fun, storytelling, and problem-solving in a welcoming and imaginative environment.


Board Games
Tuesdays, 6 - 8 PM | June 16, 23, 30 & July 7 | $125 | Limit 16
This club offers something for everyone—whether you love classic favorites or want to try something brand new! There will be a mix of traditional board games, exciting newer games, and a variety of card games to keep things fresh and engaging. For those interested, we will also introduce you to Magic: The Gathering, giving you a chance to learn the basics, build skills, and experience this popular trading card game in a supportive environment. This club is all about connection, friendly competition, and trying new things at your own pace. No experience needed—just bring your curiosity and get ready to play!
Backyard Ball Games
Thursdays, 6:30 - 8:30 | July 9, 16, 23, & 30 | $125 | Limit 16
Add some exercise and fun to your summer with this high-energy, low-pressure club that is all about enjoying classic outdoor games with friends in a fun and supportive environment. Each session will feature a mix of favorite games like Gaga Ball, 9-Square, kickball, and dodgeball—plus other creative group games that involve a ball to keep things exciting! No advanced skills needed—just come ready to participate, try new games, and have fun. We will offer plenty of encouragement, teamwork, and opportunities to build confidence along the way.


Cooking Club
Tuesdays, 4 - 6 PM | July 14, 21 & 28 | $185 | Limit 8
Take your cooking skills to the next level this summer in our Cooking Club! Designed for students who are ready for more independence in the kitchen. At each session, students will prepare a full dinner to cook at home as well as a dessert to share with their family. Along the way, you will build confidence with more advanced techniques such as multi-step recipes, using a variety of kitchen tools, staying organized, working safely in the kitchen, and managing time. This club is perfect for those who enjoy cooking and are excited to challenge themselves and create delicious meals to share.

Art Club

Join us for three sessions of creativity. Although it may be short, it’ll pack a creative and artistic punch! Students will focus on drawing and painting from observation and imagination, and explore elements of sculpture with modeling clay. The use of pastels, watercolor, colored pencils, collage, and more will assist in building skills and confidence. Designed for all skill levels. All skill levels are welcome—just bring your passion for art!

Lego Club

Get ready to build, create, and let your imagination take the lead in LEGO Club! This fun and hands-on club is perfect for anyone who enjoys designing, constructing, and bringing ideas to life—one brick at a time. Each session will include a mix of guided building challenges and open creative time. Students might work on themed builds, team projects, or individual creations, all while practicing problem-solving, planning, and creativity. Whether you prefer following instructions or inventing something completely new, there’s space for every type of builder. No experience needed—just bring your creativity and get ready to build something amazing!
